Hol is an experienced software developer, specializing in server-side applications of Perl, Java, C++, and relational databases on the Linux-Apache-MySQL-Perl (LAMP) platform. Since 1996 he works as an independent, self-employed contractor. He is also the founder and coordinator of Project Runeberg, a volunteer effort to digitize older out-of-copyright literature in Scandinavian languages.
